Studio Zuiderveld was born out of our family business where hardwood frames have been crafted for over 100 years. For all these years it always has been located in Groningen (The North of the Netherlands).
In the photo, you can see my great-grandparents who founded the company. Now, as the fourth generation, we are proud to continue this legacy.
My brother has taken over the family business. For me it is the roots and centuries-old knowledge combined with my passion for design that inspired me to start my own art line within our family business.
At Studio Zuiderveld, we believe in looking towards the future while still honoring our family's heritage.
We are constantly exploring new techniques and materials to incorporate into our designs, while also staying true to our commitment to sustainability and ethical practices.

Hello! I am Esther Zuiderveld and I was born in 1994 in the north of the Netherlands (Leek), the home of our family business. I now live in Amsterdam, the city that inspires me endlessly with its vibrant art and culture scene.
As the founder and sole designer of Studio Zuiderveld, I am closely involved in every step of the creative process. From sketching out the very first ideas to carefully selecting materials and overseeing production, I strive to create pieces that are not only beautiful but also tell a story and evoke emotions.
